The WM25DM is our flagship model. Because it uses Matter, setup is standardized across Apple, Google, and Alexa.

Step 1: Physical Installation

1. Slide the WM25DM into your 38mm (1.5″) aluminum roller tube.
2. Secure the idler end and mount the brackets to your window frame.
3. Connect the 12V DC power leads to your power supply.

Step 2: Setting Limits (The Remote Method)

Before pairing with your Smart Home app, use a Walter Radio Remote to set your travel limits:

1. Pair Remote: Hold the “Program” button on the motor head for 2 seconds until the motor jogs. Press “Up” on the remote.
2. Set Upper Limit: Move the shade to the top. Press Stop + Up simultaneously for 2 seconds.
3. Set Lower Limit: Move the shade to the bottom. Press Stop + Down simultaneously for 2 seconds.

Step 3: Matter Pairing (The Smart Home Method)

1. Ensure your Thread Border Router (e.g., Apple HomePod, Nest Hub Gen 2, or Echo Hub) is active.
2. Open your preferred app (Apple Home, Google Home, etc.).
3. Select “Add Accessory” and scan the Matter QR Code located on the motor head or the manual.
